Progress

Well, little Wek is still improving.  He got out his GIANT tummy suction tube out yesterday.  He still has to have a small feeding tube, much, much smaller though.  He still doesn't like it but he looks much more comfortable.  He had a poopy diaper that was a good indication of complete flow from his tummy through his digestive tract.  So, that all being said it is a high possibility of him maybe being able to take some feed today!!  Then it's all up to him from that point as to how he takes to it as to when he gets out of here.  The NICU pods here are listed 1 through 8, 1 being the most intensive care and 8 being the least.  One of the nurses mentioned that he is doing so well there is a possibility that he may get moved to a less intensive unit before he is discharged!  That would be a bitter-sweet thing to us, because it would be good for him to be doing that well but at the same time hate to lose the wonderful people that have been taking care of him.  I'm sure he'll be well taken care of wherever he ends up here.  We have been fully pleased with everyone at this facility.  Anyhow, there's the lowdown for the morning.  Here's a couple of pics.
