Ok folks. Know it's been FOREVER since an update but things have been insanely busy around our place. But, what it all boils down to is that as of December 1, 2011 @ 8:37 AM CST Wesley Job Szaloy is ALL OURS!!!! We had our hearing over the phone to a courtroom in Florida and the Judge said she was happy to sign him over to us for good!
He is doing very well. He is still on oxygen, but improving. We took him to Houston to Texas Children's hospital to run a 4 hr test. Basically, they take him off oxygen and monitor him for that 4 hr duration and see how he does. He ate, slept and fussed a little but during that time and had no major desaturation events. We thought he was done but the Dr. said the results showed some desaturation still that they felt warranted him staying on oxygen for a while yet. They did however give us a home pulse-ox machine so that we can monitor his oxygen levels ourselves. We are expected to be able to finish weaning him off of oxygen by the time we take him back for a follow up in May next year.
He has been sleeping through the night for over a month. Sometimes even until 9 or later!! He has recently really started to coo, laugh and smile more and more. He's finding new sounds every day and ever so happy! His hair has been growing back in on the top of his head and he's looking more and more handsome all the time.
The internet is not cooperating with uploads at the moment, so no pics at the second. Once can get that going our way we'll get some on here soon as we can. Thanks everybody for everything again. Sorry again it's been so long, and pics will be soon!!
